Portrait of Identity
Portraits of Identity is a portraiture project in which I aim to capture how, as immigrants, our sense of identity can become blurred and redefined as we adapt to a new culture. A small part of Edinburgh’s cultural diversity has been photographed in a studio space with a green canvas backdrop, evoking the atmosphere of classical paintings to reflect their strong presence. Each subject has been portrayed under two different lighting conditions.
